Background
Ir. Wong has over 23 years of experience in the design, implementation and commissioning of Mechanical & Electrical systems for large buildings and facilities. Ir. Wong has been the principal M&E design engineer for numerous residential, commercial and industrial buildings in Malaysia. As the Principal Consulting Engineer for these projects, Ir. Wong has been actively involved in the design, implementation, management, testing and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems.
The Intermark mixed development at Jalan Ampang/Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur consists of the redevelopment of Double Tree Hotel, Intermark Retail and a New 40 Storey Integra Tower, having a total GFA of more than 2.5million sq. ft. of which, the Integra Tower is a 1,000,000 square foot Grade “A” office tower aiming to become the first LEED Platinum building in Malaysia. Ir. Wong was the project director and principal M&E design engineer for the building from early inception stages and led in the design of the building’s ACMV and Control systems to meet stringent ASHRAE requirements used by LEED Platinum criteria.
Menara Maxis is a 50 storeys office tower located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, in KLCC. The building has an NLA of about 550,000 sq. ft. The building contains state of the art systems and is considered one of the most prestigious buildings in Kuala Lumpur at its time.
The proposed 31 Storey Menara LGB developed for GSL Development Sdn Bhd in Taman Tun Ismail, Kuala Lumpur has been designed with a Chilled Water Thermal Energy Storage System which allows the building to enjoy substantial energy and operating cost savings due to differential off-peak energy tariffs as well as more efficient operation of the chilled water plant during off-peak hours. The building has been awarded certificates for Green Mark Gold as well as GBI Certified. Ir. Wong was the project director and lead design engineer for mechanical and electrical services to meet the stringent requirement by BCA and GBI.

Current Responsibilities
Ir. Wong is currently the Managing Director of EMD Consult Sdn Bhd. He is overseeing all projects executed by the company and leads a group of energetic engineers in the design and implementation of the mechanical and electrical system.
